EuBIC 2018 developer's meeting
9–12 January 2018, Ghent, Belgium

The EuBIC 2018 developer's meeting will bring together scientists active in the field of bioinformatics and computational proteomics.

It is organized by the European Bioinformatics Community (EuBIC), an initiative of the European Proteomics Association (EuPA) for user-oriented bioinformatics.

The EuBIC 2018 developer's meeting will kick off with several keynote presentations by internationally renowned invited speakers in the field of computational proteomics. During these interactive sessions the necessities and outstanding opportunities for bioinformatics applications in proteomics research will be highlighted.

This will be followed by a hackathon during which the participants will develop bioinformatics tools and resources based on community-driven topics. The participants will break up into small groups to work together on these topics in an open, constructive, and productive atmosphere.

Meeting registration is now open! We encourage you to register for the meeting in a timely manner as the number of participants is limited and to be able to enjoy the early bird rate.

Hackathon projects have been announced! Topics for the hackathon sessions are divided into the (i) quality control, (ii) workflows, protocols, and guidelines, and (iii) quantification tracks. Check the hackathon page for more information on the specific topics contained in each track.
