Transport

Monasterium Poortackere is located in Ghent's historical center. Car traffic is severely restricted in this area; the easiest way to reach it is by public transportation. Limited (paying) parking space is available at the Monasterium Poortackere itself.

From the train station

In front of the train station Gent-Sint-Pieters, you can take tram 1 (direction Gent Flanders Expo - Wondelgem Industrieweg) or tram 2 (direction Zwijnaarde - Melle Leeuw) to the city centre and get off at the tram stop 'Korte Meer'. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk away across the bridge over the river.

You can buy a single ticket from the automated ticket machine at the tram platform (€3.00). Alternatively you can pay for your journey using your mobile phone using an SMS ticket by sending an SMS with the order code 'DL' to the number 4884 (€2.15).

You can walk from the train station Gent-Sint-Pieters to the hotel in about 30 minutes.

From the airport

The train station at Brussels Airport is located in the basement level -1. There is a direct train from the airport to station Gent-Sint-Pieters every hour, which will take around one hour. You can buy a ticket from the automated ticket machine in the airport (€15.80).
