Death of John Nash

E-mail Print PDF

John NashIt is with a great sadness that we announce the tragic death of John Nash and his wife in a car accident. John Nash was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 1994 and very recently with the Abel Prize in 2015 for his work on nonlinear partial differencial equations.

For some of us, we had the great pleasure to meet him and listen his plenary talk at the 24th EURO conference in Lisbon in 2010. That was an unforgettable moment.
