EURO PhD School on Matheuristics and Web-services

2nd CFP - Call for Participants

April 20-28, 2016 - Lorient, France

we cordially invite you to apply for the EURO PhD School on "Matheuristics and web-services". The EURO PhD School 2016 is a gathering of PhD students and young researchers working on the field of Operations Research. During one week, participants will explore the challenging domain of Matheuristics along with its application to the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP).  Additionally, participants will learn how to make their algorithms available to the research community by means of web services. The EPS2016 will be hosted by the Operations Research Group of the Université de Bretagne-Sud in Lorient, France from April 20th to 28th, 2016. This event is organized with the financial support of EURO (The Association of European Operational Research Societies).

25-28 May 2015, Sendai, Japan

Evolutionary computation has become an important problem solving method among many researchers working in the area of computational intelligence. In a hybrid evolutionary algorithm, a classic evolutionary method can be assisted by various techniques including evolutionary algorithms themselves, Neural Networks, Fuzzy logic, Particle Swarm Optimization, Ant colony Optimization, Variable neighborhood search, other local search methods, or even exact optimization techniques such as the branch-and-bound.
