Lecture Series: Corina Koolen
November 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Corina Koolen is a postdoctoral fellow in Digital Humanities at the Huygens Institute for the history of the Netherlands as of August 2017. She uses computational methods to analyse recent Dutch prose fiction, in the project the Riddle of Literary Quality. In this talk, she will elaborate on her PhD thesis called Reading beyond the female: The relationship between perception of author gender and literary quality, where she demonstrated that gender (still) has much to do with judgments of literary quality – and how you can use computational analysis to look at work by female authors differently.
The exact title and abstract of this lecture will be announced as soon as possible.
