Semioscopis steinkellneriana ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

A rare species in Belgium, most observed in the southern part of the country.

The larva lives on Prunus spinosa and Crataegus spp.

The adults fly in March and April. They fly mainly in early morning hours, towards sunrise. They come to light.
