Ethmia bipunctella (Fabricius, 1775)

A widespread but rather rare species in Belgium.

The larva lives in a slight web on the flowers and leaves of Echium vulgare, Symphytum or other Boraginaceae. Pupation in a dead stem or rotten wood.

The adults fly in two generations a year: from late April till the end of June and again in August-September. They come to light.
