Caryocolum kroesmanniella (Herrich-Schäffer, 1854)

A very rare species in Belgium.

The larva makes a long and broad gallery on Stellaria holostea and S. uliginosa. Older larvae live among spun leaves on the food plant. Hibernates as a larva.

The adults fly from June towards September. They come to light.
