Epirrhoe alternata (O. F. Müller, 1764)

A common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives on Galium. Hibernates as pupa in a cocoon on the ground.

The adults fly in two generations a year; from the last decade of April till late August. In favourable years a partial third generations occurs during September and October. They come to light.
