Ennomos autumnaria (Werneburg, 1859)

A not so common species in Belgium, mainly known from the northern part of the country, and from 2 provinces in the south.

The larva lives on different species of deciduous trees and shrubs including Salix, Betula, Quercus, Crataegus, Ulmus, Alnus, Carpinus, Tilia, Acer, Prunus, Lonicera and Vaccinium. Pupation under a leaf of the food plant. Hibernates as an egg.

The adults fly from mid July till end September. They come to light.
