Epirrhoe rivata (Hübner, 1813)

A fairly common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives on Galium. Hibernates as a pupa in a cocoon among plant debris.

The adults fly in two generations a year from early May till early September. They are active from dusk onwards and later come to light.
