Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Peribatodes secundaria ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

A rather common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives on Picea, Juniperus and Pinus. Hibernates as a young larva on the foodplant and pupates in a cocoon.

The adults fly in one generation a year; from mid June towards August. Occasionally some specimens can be observed during September and October, but it's not clear yet if this could be a partial second generation or just an occasionally protracted first generation. They come to light.
