Callopistria juventina (Stoll, 1782)

A very rare and local species in Belgium.

The larva lives on bracken, especially on Pteridium aquilinum. Hibernates as a fully grown larva and pupates in spring

The adults fly in one generation a year; from mid May towards late July. They come to light.
