Luperina testacea ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

A rather common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives underground on the roots and lower stem of different species of Poaceae including Elytrigia repens. Hibernates as a larva.

The adults fly in one generation a year; onwards from mid July till late September. They come to light.
