not so common species throughout Belgium, most records are from the northern part.
larva lives in the stem of Phragmites and Phalaris. Hibernates as a small larva.
adults fly from June till late August in one generation a year.
Sometimes a partial second generation occurs till October. They come to
light and sugar.
