Ochropleura plecta (Linnaeus, 1758)

A very common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives on different species of herbaceous plants, like Rumex and Plantago. Hibernates as a pupa just below ground surface.

The adults fly in two generations a year: onwards from mid April towards late September, occasionally till end of October. They come to light and sugar.
