Limenitis populi (Linnaeus, 1788)

Extinct in Flanders since (probably) 1957. In the south of Belgium currently known from two provinces only and very few localities. Critically endangered!

The larva lives on Populus tremula.

The adults fly from the beginning of June till early August.
