Epagoge grotiana (Fabricius, 1781)

A common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives on the leaves of Quercus, Crataegus or Rubus. It overwinters in a narrow fold of a leaf. Pupation takes place in a spinning in or near the larval habitation.

The adults fly from June till the beginning of August. The adults are active at dusk and at dawn, and sometimes come to light.
