Scopula imitaria (Hübner, 1799)

A rare and local species throughout Belgium. Most observations are done at the coast, where the species is locally common.

The larva lives on Ligustrum and hibernates. Pupation among plant debris.

The adults fly in two generations onwards from beginning of June till beginning of September. They come to light.
